Welcome to Victoria G. Photography! I’m so glad you’re here. If you're reading this it means I figured out how to work the blog feature!

If we haven’t met yet, let me introduce myself — I’m Victoria! I'm a Chicago-based portrait and wedding photographer (originally from Cleveland, Ohio), and I live to capture life’s most meaningful and beautiful moments through my lens.

Photography isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am. I’ve been behind a camera since I can remember, filling disposable cameras as a kid with anything and everything I wanted to hold onto forever. That passion only grew when I got my first Canon DSLR at sixteen, and now, nearly a decade later, I still feel the same spark every time I pick up my camera. Today though, I proudly shoot on a Canon R6 and R6 II Mirrorless.

I’m not here for stiff poses or predictable pictures. My style thrives on authentic, real, candid moments — the kind that make you smile years later and remember exactly how you felt in that instant. You’ll find me cheering you on while you toss your cap, capturing that first kiss, or sneaking in the small, fleeting glances that make your story truly yours.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, celebrating a milestone, or coming in for a portrait session, my goal is always the same: to freeze the moments that matter most in a way you’ll love forever. I’m a historian at heart — not just preserving photos, but preserving legacy. Photographs are future heirlooms; stories you’ll revisit again, again, and again.

• Binging Taylor Swift’s discography- I've been a life-long Swiftie since I was six.

• Patiently waiting for Djo to drop new music or announce another tour- Joe Keery + Taylor Swift's music hold such a special place in my heart.

• Spending time outdoors whenever possible- when its nice out I love to go kayaking or hiking.

• Learning French, one awkward sentence at a time- Duolingo loves to see me before going to bed every night!

• Hanging with my cat, Nova . She's a diva yet, the cuddliest little baby ever!

• Finding my new favorite restaurant- especially if they have some truffle fries on the menu!
