13 Northeast Ohio Wedding Venues on My Photography Bucket List
If you know me, you know there was really no other number this list could stop at. 13 dream wedding venues? Taylor Swift’s lucky number? It was meant to be.
As a Cleveland wedding photographer (and historian!), I’m always keeping a running list of Northeast Ohio wedding venues I’m dreaming of getting behind my camera at. These are the places that immediately make me start imagining the photographs I could create there—from timeless portraits and candid moments to a little editorial flash magic.
And there’s an extra perk if your venue made my list: couples who book Victoria G. Photography for their wedding at one of these 13 bucket-list venues receive an exclusive discount on their wedding photography package. So, in no particular order, here are 13 Northeast Ohio wedding venues on my photography bucket list!
Historic architecture, gorgeous light, and SO much character. The Elliot checks just about every box for me and is exactly the type of Cleveland wedding venue my photographer + historian heart loves.
On my shot list: Editorial flash portraits that show off all of that historic architecture, a dreamy kiss in front of the iconic rose stain-glass window, and a ton of fun/flashy editorial portraits in the Rosehip Room downstairs.
Lake Erie views + timeless elegance. Shoreby Club is high on my list for a reason. I would love to photograph a summer wedding here filled with waterfront portraits and candid moments along the lake.
On my shot list: Golden-hour newlywed portraits overlooking Lake Erie, and old-money inspired flat lays.
Modern, elevated, and surrounded by Cleveland views, Truss is one of the Cleveland wedding venues I would LOVE to photograph. It has so much potential for chic, editorial wedding photography while still giving your gallery that unmistakable Cleveland feeling.
On my shot list: Elegant sunset portraits with the Cleveland skyline in the background.
Historic Cleveland architecture gets me every single time. Tudor Arms has the character, details, and old-world atmosphere that fit perfectly with my love for timeless wedding photography.
On my shot list: Romantic portraits incorporating the historic interiors and architecture and magical reception photos in the ballroom.
For couples wanting something peaceful, romantic, and surrounded by nature, Walden is such a dream. I can picture a gallery here feeling elegant, effortless, and timeless.
On my shot list: Soft golden-hour portraits surrounded by the property’s natural scenery and some stunning natural light photos in the hallway.
Industrial, historic, and unmistakably Cleveland. Windows on the River combines city character with gorgeous spaces for a wedding day.
On my shot list: A cinematic newlywed portrait with Cleveland as the backdrop and romantic moments on the Cuyahoga River.
Basil Place is an absolute dream. The elegant estate, beautiful grounds, and European-inspired feel offer the perfect setting for a wedding gallery that mixes timeless romance with editorial imagery.
On my shot list: Editorial newlywed portraits around the estate followed by dreamy golden-hour photos across the property.
Historic charm, gorgeous grounds, and endless character. The Club at Hillbrook feels like it was practically made for my photographer + historian heart.
On my shot list: A timeless portrait that makes the historic property part of your wedding story. Old money inspired flat lays and candid moments on the lawn laughing with your bridal party.
Wellspring combines beautiful Ohio scenery with an elevated wedding experience, making it another venue I would love to cross off my photography bucket list.
On my shot list: Romantic outdoor portraits that feel like they belong in a movie.
A historic Tudor-style home on the shores of Lake Erie? This one feels practically made for my photographer + historian heart. The Tudor House at Mason’s Cove has that intimate, romantic character I love, with beautiful architecture and waterfront scenery that would give us so much variety throughout a wedding day. It’s exactly the kind of Northeast Ohio wedding venue where the setting becomes part of the story rather than simply the backdrop.
On my shot list: Romantic, editorial portraits around the Tudor House followed by golden-hour newlywed photos along Lake Erie.
A vineyard wedding in Northeast Ohio? Immediately yes.
Between the architecture, grounds, and vineyard scenery, there are so many opportunities to create a romantic Gervasi Vineyard wedding gallery.
On my shot list: Sunset newlywed portraits among the vineyard scenery running through the vines.
A wedding photographer who is also a historian wanting to photograph at Stan Hywet? Shocking, I know.
The history, architecture, gardens, and endless portrait locations make this one of my absolute dream Akron wedding venues.
On my shot list: A timeless, almost painting-like portrait incorporating the estate and gardens, like something out of an F. Scott Fitzgerald book!
Last—but absolutely not least—is The Everly. I would love to photograph a wedding here that combines romantic portraits with all of the candid, in-between moments that make a wedding gallery feel completely personal.
And obviously, it gets the lucky #13 spot.
On my shot list: Romantic newlywed portraits followed by a packed dance floor.
