Nick and Natalie’s engagement session on a quiet Easter morning was one of those sessions that felt almost magical in its stillness.
We met just before sunrise around Museum Campus and Soldier Field, when the city was still quiet and the lakefront felt like it belonged entirely to them. That soft early morning light is always worth the early wake-up call—it wraps everything in the most gentle, glowing tones. We also had no issues with parking- which is ALWAYS a plus downtown!
They brought along their sweet puppy, Asher who honestly stole the show in the best way, and added such a personal, playful touch to the session. Between that, their matching jerseys featuring the groom’s last name—McMahon—and the way they naturally interacted with each other, everything about this session felt personal and true to them. (the jersey was also a homage to Nick's favorite former NFL Quarterback, Jim McMahon, with whom he shares a name, but no relation- sadly.)
There was no rush, no distractions—just the two of them, their pup, and a calm morning before a busy season of wedding planning ahead.
Their September wedding in Wisconsin is going to be incredible, and I already know this is just the beginning of such a meaningful season for them.
